This solo's objects from other objects in your scene, it's really beneficial to my workflow. So just start creating man, start with creating interesting concepts and try to make that, don't worry about plug-ins just yet. As soon as you notice that the tools that you have are not sufficient to reach your goal you should start looking into other tools (paintbrushes or plug-ins) that you can use to reach that goal. If for example you start painting you shouldn't be thinking about which paintbrushes and paper, you should use you should start creating ideas and draw them with whatever tools you have have. C4D is just a tool used to construct the image of an idea that you want to convey. rather than full-out paid/personal projects, where I'd do all the texturing and lighting myself. The only ones I use "alot" are the GSG light kit pro, HDRI studio pack, and Texture kit Pro.and thats mostly because lately ive been doing more reddit-centric "help" renders or a really quick still here and there, for shits and giggles, that are just quick and dirty. I got a couple free ones like the sIBL loader, Ivygrower, Umami and I had the free Thrausi for a long time before I got Nitroblast (and to be honest, I probably coulda just kept Thrausi). We designers get distracted by shiny plug-ins all too easy (me included) and think: "Oh I neeeeed to have X-particles, or vRay or Octane or Transform or TurbulenceFD etc etc etc" Cinema has more than enough to keep you learning for a long time without the added weight of learning something else on top of the program. To remain up-to-date with the latest versions of our plugins after S24, check out Plus.IMO, If you're just starting to learn, forget add-ons or plugins.
